Embossed designs are not considered filled designs as the stitch lines do not completely cover the fabric on which they are sewn. They work best on heavily napped fabrics such as terry cloth towels or fuzzy fleeces. Fabrics should be stitched using a water-soluble stabilizer on the top and bottom. I am working on a set of filled trains for those who want to stitch these designs on regular cotton fabrics.
